Front door with sidelights – Make curtains for thin windows on either side of a front door keeps prying eyes from looking at your foyer or front hall and controls the amount of light coming through the windows. Usually, a curtain cannot give to allow a light come in, but only giving as much as you want.

Instruction for making curtain of front door with sidelights:  Wash, dry and iron your transparent fabric to remove sizing. This will keep the curtains shrink in the laundry of the first time you wash them. Measure the width of the curtain rod. Measure the length of your curtain rods from the top of the bar until to the bottom edge of the bar. Add 4 inches to the length of your curtain panel. Cut the transparent fabric to this size. Fold the edge of the fabric to the back and pin. Fold the top edge of the fabric to the back and pin. Fold the bottom edge of the back and pin. Sew along the hem edge from the bottom. Slide the curtain rod through the upper and lower pockets and hang curtain of your front door with sidelights rods.
